Engaging and simple to use
Very interactive and interesting. I can take quizzes or watch videos or even do flip cards to learn the content
No cons so far. I enjoy using Lessonly to learn
Makes learning new content fun and engaging
"Extremely User Friendly"
Lessonly is the perfect learning software for any team that does not have a dedicated enablement person. It is very easy to spin up new courses on a regular basis which makes it worth every penny!
The backend can look pretty disorganized with content for three different teams.
On boarding/training materials and on-going coaching were the two main reasons we purchased Lessonly. We have significantly decreased our ramp time since implementing. From an on-going coaching perspective, it has saved our managers a lot of time because we do not need to have the same conversations over and over with multiple sales reps - all of the information they need to effectively speak about a competitor, learn about a new feature, etc is all in one place for them to learn and then be tested on to make sure they're good to go!
The font that Lessonly has selected for the platform is just great. The customer service representatives are mostly great and very fast to help. I love the way Lessonly looks. Easy to read, easy to create, versatile. The platform is so user-friendly from both perspectives, the creator and the learner. This is a great utility, very useful. Lots of specialization and new features coming out every month it seems like. The representative that deals with my company is very kind and informative and helpful, it has been a pleasure working with her. I would recommend this service to other businesses in my area or other states, if I were networking with these people like at the Lessonly dinner celebration they held in Salt Lake City recently. That was a good experience where we were able to network with other Lessonly users from all over the United States.
Minimal control of type, but actually this is a positive thing because Lessonly has pre-selected the best font that is the easiest for everyone to read. Not much, I wish there were a few things like the option to add notes for graders to see but maybe they will add this feature soon. I don't like how the universal force retake setting cannot be non-universal, haha. But there is not a lot to dislike. This is a great utility very useful. Working with Lessonly has been a wonderful experience for me and my company. I recommend it strongly.
"Interactive and Visual Training Resource"
Lessonly is interactive. I can flip and expand information cards, watch videos and take quizzes all within an easy to view online platform. I can easily assign information to new hires and assess what they have learned.
The back-end could allow more font/styling customization. It can be difficult to copy and paste into the admin because it reformats what you have pasted. It would be nice to have the ability to finetune the spacing and bulleting.
Use it as a way to onboard new employees and keep it as a resource for all. Even if you do not plan on training new hires any time soon, it is a great resource for current hires to make sure that everyone is on the same page for workflows. Employees can refer back to the information again and again without having to ask a superior for an answer to their question.
"A superior LMS for my company"
Lessonly has an incredibly intuitive interface, and building lessons is a breeze. We primarily use it to onboard new sales and support agents, and the response we've received at having interactive lessons has been very positive. Our agents actually enjoy taking time for training now! It's also been a lifesaver in our ability to track who's done which training, and how they're doing. WIth their new analytics we can even spot trends, which helps us pinpoint where our training materials could be improved.
We'd really like to have a view where we can see at a glance what lessons are included in which group learning libraries. Also, bulk functions - like tagging, adding to learning libraries, etc. That would be a huge time saver. Lastly, since I'm moving our content creation team over to structured authoring, the ability to include structured content in lessons would be really helpful. Our CCMS is Paligo, and when they release their API, having an integration to bring in structured content would save us a lot of time.
While the UI is super intuitive and the learning curve very easy with Lessonly, you'll still need to focus on how to create effective content - Lessonly is great about providing lots of resources on the most effective ways to structure information in lessons, and their experience managers help you plan your initial roll out, so there is plenty of guidance when you get started to ensure your rollout is successful. My recommendation is to make sure that the person(s) in charge of developing learning content at your company are passionate about creating usable and interesting content, and they are excited to learn about how people learn and what makes a lesson effective.
Lessonly is extremely user friendly, both for the user and creator of content. It is amazing how they have created a platform that has so many features and capabilities that would be regularly complex but Lessonly manages to make so simple and easy to use.
There really is nothing to dislike about Lessonly, it has been a wonderful tool in transforming our training and education. As a user and creator you can pick it up immediately just by simply playing around with the site.
Lessonly has simplified our training and education for internal employees while still being able to offer endless amounts of educational tools and documents.
Lessonly makes enablement fun and easy
I like the intuitiveness of the lessons. Everything is very easy to follow along, even when multiple forms of media are used (i.e - text, video, graphs, etc). I also really like the reminders that my lesson is due.
I had to download a separate app for recording demos. I wish I could use the tracking/recording software I already use and integrate it with Lessonly.
Lessonly helps our entire team to maintain knowledge levels and quickly disperses new information and teachings.
"So happy that we chose Lessonly"
The platform is incredibly intuitive and user friendly. Even if I didn't receive great training from the team at Lessonly, I could figure out a lot on my own due to the fantastic UX. I vetted several LMS providers and Lessonly was the only one that could offer all the tools I was looking for like the ability to create screen recordings with narration, click-through tutorials, side by side learning in your browser (thanks to their Chrome extension) and so much more. I'm now able to touch upon more learning styles than I ever could before. Coupling all of this with amazing service from our Customer Experience Manager and the customer service team has left us feeling so happy that we chose Lessonly as our LMS.
At this point, there's nothing that I dislike outright. With any product, naturally there are features that I'm hoping to get down the line, but nothing that is impeding my ability to onboard and train employees. Thatcher, our Customer Experience Manager, is super hands-on and communicative, so he's let me know which features are on the product roadmap and when I can expect to have them. Any feedback I've given him that isn't on the roadmap has been welcomed, as well.
Lessonly is helping us to scale our onboarding and training programs. I am the only person in our organization who does this and with a fast-growing team globally, it is allowing me to offer every employee the same quality of training regardless of where they're located. It is also helping us tackle issues with retention and to offer significantly improved re-training capabilities.
"An integral tool for employee onboarding and continued training"
Everything! Lessonly is amazing. It's super intuitive and easy to use to build lessons, courses, and quizzes. The features are perfect, I can add silly gifs to lighten up a lesson and break up a large block of text, or an instructional video to show what I just outlined in writing. Lessonly let's me assign lessons and easily see if my team has completed them. It's also super easy for employees to ask questions about something they don't understand in a lesson.
The gradebook could be a little more robust. It's not the easiest to see at a glance based on lesson tags, you have to select individual lessons but this doesn't affect me very often.
If you have remote teams or are just training and onboarding teams in general, you need Lessonly! It's an amazing product and their entire support and account management team is great.
A learning management tool that will never let you down.
The beauty of this tool is, the ease of creating the courses. Integration with third party software like Slack and Salesforce is good.
I experienced few formatting issues initially and over a period of time I learnt how it solve it.
We use Lessonly for our training for internal employees. Lessonly has lately been our go-to tool for all our learning needs.
