  • Lacks eTDS integration and compliance management. Users cannot e-file I-9 through the software

A Serious HR Game Changer
What are the best aspects of this product? I really appreciate the intuitive nature of the interface, the ease of set up and use and the customer support given by the BambooHR team. They were able to add functionality I needed for tracking the training of our employees and really helped with a change in vacation accrual and PTO making the transition to a new policy very easy for me. I also LOVE the Applicant Tracking System! It has made our hiring process much more effective and efficient when recruiting for multiple departments at once.
What aspects are problematic or could work better? I wish I could add modules to the Dashboard and a few more items to the drop down menus in the Applicant Tracking System.
We have solved the lack of communication in the hiring and training processes when dealing with multiple departments and hiring. We have also given our employees a "company hub" acting as a resource for announcements, training and review documentation, and best of accurate and easy to use Time Off and Vacation tracker making them feel more connected and aware of what is happening within the company, their department and with their personal work benefits

Very good HR system and support
The Employee data out of the box Reporting is good. Time Off Policies are very flexible. Access Levels are a twist to the usual Group and User management. Benefits management is good. Onboarding and Offboarding processes Document Template and e-signing Customization of Fields
Time Off Policies are very flexible, but requires to climb a learning curve, that at the time of the (paid) implementation process is not enough to learn. Some fields that are too tied to the US, when you have offices around the world this is not a pro, but you can hide those fields if you want to. Job openings are very limited Emails can't be customized with the company branding Don't have a true workflow for Onboarding and Offboarding activities Trainings management could be much better Customization of Fields is done by Support.
Have all your requirements very clear and ask for clarification. In my case, some of the requirements had to do with very flexible reporting and workflows and BambooHR fell a bit behind it. But those were not deal breakers and I trust that they eventually add those features.
Great HR Product
What are the best aspects of this product? What I like most about Bamboo is that it has now given me a centralized location for all my HR information/tasks. I wear several hats in my position and "HR Director" is only one of them. Bamboo has given me a format to streamline hiring, on-boarding, vacation tracking and benefits tracking.
What aspects are problematic or could work better? The only thing I would say I do not like is that a few times I have had issues with knowing if my new hires have received e-mails. It can be kind of confusing but I think I have it figured out now.
I find that our on-boarding process has improved and is more stream-lined. And the benefit of that is I am saving time in that process.
