Typical cost structure for Sage CRM:

License/Subscription Cost
  • On-Premise: License fee includes an upfront cost fee to own the software plus server license cost, maintenance and support fees, customization and integrations costs. Basic sales, marketing and customer support is included in the license cost
  • Cloud-based/SaaS: Recurring subscription-based model – per user per month
Maintenance Cost

-On-Premise:

  • Cost is over and above the license fee/upfront cost
  • Server cost + maintenance fees is charged based on the type of product opted – SageCRM 100 or SageCRM 200 (refer pricing section for details)
  • Server cost is in the range of $1,400 to $4,000
  • Maintenance fees amounts to 18% of the total user license fee
  • Additional support is offered at $1,500 per account

-Cloud-based/SaaS: No additional cost for software maintenance, server management, product cost and data backups

-For both types of deployments, Sage CRM provides online community to ask questions, share ideas and resolve issues

Installation/Implementation Cost
  • On-Premise: Cost is over and above the upfront license cost. Sage CRM provides implementation through its authorized implementation partners such as Azamba and Ambit Software
  • Cloud-based/SaaS: Nil
Customization Cost

- Cost will vary depending on the type of deployment – On-Premise or Cloud-based

- On-Premise: Sage CRM On Premise provides advanced customization, enabling users to modify the software screens, workflow and behavior so that it conforms to user’s specific business processes and works exactly the way they want

  • Provides flexibility to integrate with other software applications being used for business such as Microsoft Exchange Server or any other third-party applications. However, ability to customize the software to user’s specific industry or workflow is limited

- Cloud-based/SaaS model: Sage CRM Cloud-based model does not provide advanced database customization and advanced email integration functionality

Data Migration Cost/Change Management/Upfront Switching Cost For both types of deployment cost will vary depending on the amount of data to be migrated, availability of migration tools, complexity of data and gaps between the existing system and the new system
Training Cost
  • For both types of deployments cost will vary depending on the type of Sage training opted such as Sage View training, eLearning and certification programs
  • Provides advanced training support through its authorized partners
Recurring/Renewal Costs

- On-Premise:

  • Annual recurring fees to be paid over and above the upfront cost for annual renewal, upgrades, maintenance and on-going support
  • Charges an annual licensing fee of about $200 (annual support plan in the range of 15% to 21% of the solution’s retail value) via Sage Business Care for on-going support and upgrades

- Cloud-based/SaaS: Renewal cost is equivalent to the fees paid monthly, based on the number of users. Regular support services are built into the subscription price

    Product Limitations

    Some of the product limitations include:

    • Does not support Social CRM and other social media features such as the functionality to search LinkedIn
    • Limited customization functionality when compared to the price of the product. The solution does not let users customize fields
    • Provides limited email integration outside of Outlook
    • Generating reports is cumbersome process and final output can be saved in the CSV format only
    • Does not let users make changes to the system set-up. Users need to pay additional charges for this support
