The pricing is definitely a highlight. Many users are attracted to Pipedrive for its affordability compared to other CRM solutions. However, to unlock its full potential, you'll need to invest in additional services and add-ons. The base tier is somewhat restrictive, especially for small startups looking for advanced tools.

One of Pipedrive's strongest points is the thoroughness of prospect data compilation. The activity calendar, contact mapping and sales assistant features provide impressive depth for tracking and managing sales processes.

In my experience, the mobile app feels limited and less robust compared to the web platform. The app’s loading times are slow, and its core features are limited to contacts, activities and deal pipelines.

Overall, Pipedrive is an ideal choice for small to medium-sized businesses looking for an affordable, visually appealing CRM with solid core functionality. Just be strategic about which add-ons and higher tiers you invest in.

However, I found that these reports, while extensive, might not be as visually appealing as the graphs and infographics you’d find on other platforms like HubSpot.

If you’re looking for an all-in-one CRM that does pretty much everything, you can’t go wrong with Zoho CRM. According to our data, it fully supports 86% of key CRM requirements out of the box. And only 5% aren’t supported at all. In fact, it fully supports more features out of the box than CRM juggernauts, Salesforce (81%) and HubSpot (80%).

Despite delivering a ton of helpful features, Zoho CRM does lack a few tools, according to our research. It doesn’t offer mobile push notifications. If you need a system to manage contracts and quotes, you’ll need to connect with other platforms, such as Zoho Contracts and Zoho Subscriptions, each of which costs extra. Zoho CRM also doesn’t integrate with CPQ solutions.

When I tested HubSpot Smart CRM, what stood out most was how quickly I could get up and running. Compared to popular systems like [Salesforce Sales Cloud](https://www.selecthub.com/p/crm-software/salesforce-sales-cloud/) or [Creatio](https://www.selecthub.com/p/crm-software/creatio/), which often require admin training or partner-led setup, HubSpot makes CRM adoption feel lightweight. I was able to customize pipelines, create contact records from form submissions, assign deals and manage tasks — all without writing a line of code or needing to install any add-ons.

One of Smart CRM’s biggest strengths is that it powers all of HubSpot’s hubs (Marketing, Sales, Service, Content, Operations, Commerce). You don’t have to combine separate tools or manage sync errors.

This is a clear advantage over platforms like [Zoho CRM](https://www.selecthub.com/p/crm-software/zoho-crm/) or [Pipeliner](https://www.selecthub.com/p/crm-software/pipeliner/), where sales and marketing features can feel more siloed. In HubSpot, every interaction — from form fills to emails, notes and deals — feeds into a single timeline that your entire team can access.

The interface itself is another highlight. Compared to the cluttered dashboards in Creatio or the highly visual (and sometimes busy) layouts in Pipeliner, I found HubSpot’s UI clean, intuitive and welcoming to CRM beginners. From the drag-and-drop pipeline to the contact profile views, everything felt purposefully designed to help you focus on what matters — your leads and deals.

That said, there are trade-offs. There’s no built-in territory management, task automation is manual and email tools are fairly limited — no dynamic content or A/B testing. You can store up to a million contacts, but sending marketing emails is capped under HubSpot’s contact tier system.

**My verdict:** HubSpot Smart CRM is a great option if your team needs a starter CRM. The fact that it delivers all the basics, is simple to set up and packs AI into a free product, makes it hard to beat in terms of value.

However, don’t ignore the potential cost to scale. And if your team already depends on complex automation, ERP integrations or vertical-specific workflows, you may want to explore other tools that offer more customization and scalability out of the box.

While testing Keap, I got an in-depth look at what this platform really offers. Here's what I discovered through my hands-on experience.

Keap is well-known for its automation capabilities. I could create almost any workflow, which is great for keeping leads engaged. The client contact record system keeps everything organized and easy to find in one place. I enjoyed working with pipelines, email broadcasts and the email builder. The tagging and audience creation system is also well-designed.

During my research, I found a case that shows what Keap can do when used to its full potential. Shanterria Earley, who runs [Travel Divas](https://keap.com/customer-stories/travel-divas) ( a $17 million travel business), automated almost every aspect of her business using Keap. She started with basic automation for marketing campaigns and payments but eventually created automated systems for everything from travel guides and sales emails to payment plans and customer service.

She uses Keap's tracking pixel to trigger targeted sales emails when contacts visit specific travel pages. The platform also helps manage long-term payment plans for trips booked 18 months in advance. Her team relies on Keap's data tracking for customer service issues and its dashboard for monitoring business KPIs.

As Earley puts it, she "makes money in her sleep" thanks to these automations, though she emphasizes it took time to set up these systems effectively.

Keap really values user input. They actively involve users in UI/UX surveys and interviews about platform functionality, which shows they care about user experience.

Now, on to the not-so-good part. The mobile app is limited — you can only access contacts and tasks, while competitor apps offer much more. The learning curve is steep, and the sheer number of features can be overwhelming without help. The price point is a bit high for startups, considering the company markets it to small businesses.

I spotted bugs, specifically in the automation system — contacts sometimes stay in automation even after removal. More seriously, some users have reported payment processing issues, including repeat charges and multiple recurring payments that have cost them clients. User feedback also highlights weak marketing analytics capabilities.

Integration-wise, while Keap works with many third-party programs via API, I wish they had simpler APIs for business systems and social media integration. Users have noted that they need to manually update customer records due to poor SQL integration.

The platform only allows 100 custom fields, and the email and newsletter template customization options are limited. Pipeline management could be better — you can only assign dollar values, with no option for contract or sales volume counts. I've also noticed that segmentation logic can be tricky, and it's essential to manually verify audiences, as tag exclusions don't always work as expected.

A concerning piece of user feedback involves Keap's long-term business practices. Users report regular price increases once they integrate deeply into the system, and they express frustration about features being "retired" without considering how businesses have built processes around them. Custom data imports and functions, especially when moving from another CRM, often come with steep additional fees.

On the positive side, users love Keap's responsive customer support and the platform's extensive integration capabilities. However, small businesses should carefully evaluate whether they can manage technical hurdles, recurring price increases and potential automation issues before committing to the platform.

From what I’ve seen, Insightly’s a great fit if you want a CRM that’s easy to use and doesn’t take a ton of time to set up or manage. It’s ideal for growing teams that need a straightforward solution to keep sales and operations on the same page without getting bogged down in complexity.

When I tested Insightly, what stood out to me was how naturally it connects sales with post-sale execution. Unlike many CRMs that stop at deal closure, like Pipeliner or Zoho CRM, I could turn closed-won opportunities into fully trackable projects, all within the same workspace.

This built-in project management made the whole process feel more connected. I didn’t have to jump between tools, and everything stayed linked to the original customer record — a big win for teams juggling both sales and execution.

Another area where Insightly shines is automation. Its native AppConnect platform allows you to build automations and integrate apps like QuickBooks, Slack and DocuSign without coding. Compared to Salesforce Sales Cloud, which often depends on external tools or developer support for similar workflows, Insightly feels more accessible, especially for smaller teams without dedicated IT help.

However, Insightly isn’t without its limitations. I found the interface clean and easy to navigate, but if you want deep customization or advanced reporting, it doesn’t go nearly as far as something like Salesforce. And while onboarding was fairly smooth, it felt a bit bare-bones to me. Unlike Zoho CRM, which walks you through setup with helpful prompts and templates, Insightly left me figuring out a lot on my own.

**Here’s my take:** If you’re looking for a platform that not only helps you close deals but also sees them through to delivery, Insightly is a great option.
